I visited Norden High School in Rishton this morning to give a talk to about 100 children about reading, writing and my own books. I set a short story competition and will be returning there in October with the results. Was good fun, and a lot of great ideas came out from the students. It was great the way everyone got involved and took part in the workshop. I’m looking forward to reading all those stories now!!!

As a children’s author based near Garstang, Lancashire in England, I’m visiting schools in Lancashire during 2013 and setting a short story competition for the children. The winners receive signed copies of my books. I will keep you informed here at this blog, dear readers, of the highlights. The first visit so far is on World Book Day (celebrated 7th March here in the UK) to a school near Colne. I will be working with a group of 11 year olds, talking about my work and experience and helping them create their own stories.
